4 Foulkes life in action AbrpmThu, 03 Apr 2008 22:14:58 +0000c10 28, 2008
They are not the Jackson Five or The Kelly Family, but four very talented brothers having fun, singing and making music together: the 4 Foulkes. The family spirit is extraordinary, somewhat magical, the perfect mixture of confidence, love and dedication to each other that makes it so original.
Last weekend, the 4 family members gave the one and only concert of the year at La Moe (Santísima Trinidad, 32, Madrid), covering versions of Carlos Jobim, Prince, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, The Beatles among others, most of these interpretations were even better than the original ones. One highlight was the Celentano song Parole, parole, which the brothers dedicated to their parents and which received a special note thanks to Paula’s sensitive and sexy voice, accompanied by Alex and Camilo.
Check out the extended groovy, funky version of Billie Jean from a concert last year at the legendary Zé Bar (Santa Ana, 25, Madrid, unfortunately closed since May 2007).
As a little extra you can enjoy listening to Alex and Paula at home in concert, singing Agua de beber de Jobim.
Hopefully, we don´t have to wait one more year until the next family session. It would be a great opportunity to play the cover versions that were missing in the last concert: Just remember David Bowie’s Space Oddity interpretation - very thrilling!
