Fenomenal este libro! Se lee como un documental sobre un viaje a Corea del Norte! Disfrutaba mucho de leerlo. Es una novela gráfica maravillosa sobre el regimen Norcoreano que brilla con su humor negro.

This awesome comic is like a documentary about a journey to North Korea! I enjoyed very much reading it. This graphic novel elegantly and beautifully illustrates the status quo in North Korea and is a penetrating insight into this regime.

¿Don’t you remember el primer disco Tales of the Forgotten Melodies de Wax Tailor? ¿O te has perdido en la Hypnosis Theme feat. Marina Quaisse? Hace dos años cuando el ‘triphopero’ francés nos enseñó lo qué es el trip hop o hip hop cinemático. Nos hipnotizó con unos calmantes melódicos (Walk the line) que recuerdan un poco a DJ Shadow o a Portishead. Y cuándo alguién te preguntaba cómo te sientes ahora tu le contestabas simplemente How I feel, I don´t know! Nos dejó bajo hipnósis hasta 2007 cuando regresó con su segundo disco.

En el primer tema parece que se tiene orientar de nuevo con Once upon a past en que nos pregunta “How should I begin my story that has no beginning?”, intentando de mantener la línea hiphop del disco anterior. Sometimes lo consigue y mucho más. En Hope & Sorrow nos sorprende con una fusión muy curiosa de electro funk, soul y jazz como por ejemplo en The Tune, There is Danger y The Man with no Soul.
Más interesante todavía son sus colaboraciones con talentos como Ursula Rucker, Marina Quaisse, Sharon Jones and Charlotte Savary.

Very stunning insight into contemporary China!
In Zhou Wei Hui’’s erotic tale, Coco converts from a sex-crazed hedonist to a blessed-out Buddhist, thanks to her crush on Muju, a Japanese-Italian television executive who happens to be a terrific lover.
More than 40.000 copies of Shanghai Baby were burned publicly, her publisher closed, and Wei Hui was labeled “a whore to western culture” by critics. The Chinese Government even made it impossible to search for her name on the internet.
I am not quite sure if it is more the hype around that it makes it so interesting or if it is the book itself. However it is absolutely worth to have look inside.
